This past Sunday, between 11am and 5pm, Ann Arbor residents and neighbors took over Main Street and Liberty during the summer event, Taste of Ann Arbor. Families and friends had the opportunity to sample different flavors of food, ranging from appetizers to desserts, of approximately 45 local restaurants while a variety of bands from Michigan played great music!
People were constantly buying tickets from the assisting volunteers and they were visiting different vendors where they would use three or four tickets at a time. Children showed their talent and creativity by playing with hula hoops and by drawing on the street with chalk. Many families also brought their pets along to this enriching experience.
The event was also filled with the presence of the athletes who participated in the 2013 DX-A2 Run that began earlier in the day. The runners had the opportunity to receive massages, and to nourish their bodies with great food and drinks.
Ann Arbor will be hosting many other great events this
summer such as the Ann Arbor Summer Festival! We
